About the Dress

This elegant and classic dress has a satin corset top and an a-line tulle skirt with applique flowers and a mid-length train. The top is a plunge neckline with spaghetti straps and skin-colored tulle covering the décolletage and sides to keep everything pulled in. The back features 4 satin buttons. On the skirt, a very soft angelic tulle is complemented by bright white embroidered flowers. The mid-length train is the perfect mix - not too difficult to walk in, but stunning in photos.

This dress was purchased from Betsy Robinson's Bridal Shop for my September 2020 wedding. The dress was originally a ballgown, but I had all the crinoline removed to transform it into an A-line. Removing all the "poof" gave the dress so much movement and flow to really show off the floral applique details. This dress is flattering on EVERYONE and will make you feel comfortable & confident! The bodice is sexy and classy with the skinny plunge. I have an hourglass figure (bigger hips and a tiny waist) and this dress was the most beautiful A-line dress that complimented me perfectly and made me feel like the best version of myself. If you want to feel like a modern bohemian princess, this is the dress for you!

The bottom of the dress did get dirty from skimming the floor during my reception (as shown in the pictures). This dress was not worn in the grass and nothing was spilled on it. It was chilly on my wedding day so there was virtually no sweating in it either! I have NOT had it cleaned and have factored the buyer having it cleaned into the price (if desired). The photos of the dress hanging on the white door were taken after my wedding.

I'm sad to see see this dress go, but I can't wait for it to make someone else feel just as beautiful on their big day!

Alterations

The bridal boutique I purchased the dress from did the minimal alterations I needed. All crinoline was removed which I think suits the dress perfectly. The dress was also hemmed. For reference, I have 5'5" and wore 2.5 inch heels. I had padded cups added - I'm a B cup.
