The Dress

This is a Rue de Seine Avril gown, and is made up two pieces (a silk slip beneath) and a gorgeous lace gown overlay.

I wore this dress during my pandemic "mini-mony" in October 2020, for about 4 hours.

The Avril Gown is inspired by brave, bold, daring women. Covered with all over dramatic Cornelli Lace, its lace placements are designed to flatter the figure from all angles. Features cut out details on the train and sleeves, low back, full skirt and train. It has an illusion neckline.

I paired a custom, handmade silk cape with the gown for the ceremony portion of my wedding (as seen in my photos) I am not selling the cape but if you're interested, I will be happy to provide you the designer's contact information should you purchase my dress.

The dress has been professionally cleaned.

It was more like a US 10 when purchased but has been altered to fit me (I'm approximately size 6-8 US women's size)

Dress + slip retail is $3,200-3,700 US dollars.

You will get more compliments on this gown than you would believe. People are still raving about how gorgeous my wedding gown. I want another bride to feel so special on her wedding day, so I'm passing it along.

Alterations

The original sleeves of the gown have been altered for a more bohemian and flowy look. I am a smaller person in stature and felt the original sleeves would have overwhelmed me. I have included the designer's photos of the dress as well as photos from my wedding and one image of me trying on the dress (with no compression garments or anything beneath) so you can get a better idea of how it fits.

There have only been professional designer-approved alterations completed on the gown.

At my wedding, I was wearing the following street sizes (to give you an idea of the size of the dress after alterations) 34-36 D bra, 29-30 inch waist, 5'6-5'7 with heels.
