The Dress

This dress was never worn for a wedding. Ultimately, the dress did not work for me. It is no longer on sale at BHLDN! It was really popular. The replacements in the collection aren't quite the same as this one. The dress is gorgeous and made me feel very beautiful when I purchased it. I think it's a very classically A-Lined design and just enough volume without compromising on it feeling elegant. There is a small train, but wouldn't need a bustle, which is a huge plus for feeling like you can move in the gown. Not a lot of modern wedding dresses allow you to do that.

I think a white or silver belt would put this dress over the top! The beading is not an applique and it's stitched directly into the dress. I really loved that because I didn't have to worry about the beading. It's really intricate and in a flowery pattern. I'd say the dress is a soft white/ivory with a silvery cream lining on the skirt. On the top, the tulle is just enough to cover you, so the nude effect really pops, but you won't feel like it's too revealing. There are modesty pieces where that's most important.

Alterations

Illusion piece in the front neck line was brought up a half an inch, but can be adjusted quite easily. the straps were taken in 3/4 an inch, (I have a small torso). No fabric was removed from the gown, it was folded over to take the straps in, if I found the alteration did not meet my expectation.
