The Dress
I fell in love with this dress immediately. The chiffon skirt flows and shapes well to the body. The top is knit embroidery and forms a vest-like look, at once elegant and dapper. The entire look is sheer and feminine, powerfully striking and yet easy-going. There is a moderately long train that is easy to walk in. The back has a delicate knit embroidery pattern on lace, much like the front.
I wasn't able to have the wedding I planned, and eloped amidst pandemic concerns. I wore the dress, and it made the day special. It's my hope that it makes all the difference for someone else, too.
I had the dress dry cleaned at a San Francisco company called Elegance Preserved, where they use elaborate, jacuzzi-involved techniques to clean the dress thoroughly while preserving the integrity of the delicate fabric (chiffon is half silk). I had alterations to the bust and hem.
