The Dress

I am not sure what year the dress was made, but I do know that I was the third bride to wear this custom dress made by designer Yolan Cris, based in Barcelona. According to the previous owner, it originally cost over $6000.
I am 5' 8" and wore flats with the dress. It was maybe a touch long on me, and I could have easily worn 2" heels with the dress, but it was an outside spring wedding I didn't feel like contending with the soft ground. The dress is light and airy and was super comfortable to wear all evening. The intricate lace detail is beautiful and very soft. It is a wonderful blend of ethereal, artistic, and natural - both in the way which it flows and the asymmetry in the lace patterning. I loved that it had a small train and that it was super easy to bustle after the ceremony for dancing. I was never someone who could really picture myself in a wedding dress, but this one truly felt like me, and gave me so much confidence while wearing it. It is definitely one of a kind! I loved how I felt in it, and hope that it can bring as much joy to someone else's day as it brought me!
The dress is still in fantastic shape despite having been worn a few times. There are no tears or stains on the dress. It has been professionally dry cleaned and is all set to go for another wedding!

Alterations

A thin lining was added by the previous bride because the skirt was see through. It does not in any way change the flow of the overlapping layers of the skirt or the train so I left it.
A couple darts were added to tuck in the edge of the bodice as I was slightly smaller than the previous bride. They could easily be removed if you needed more room in the bust.
