The Dress

Genuine 'La Violette' Jane Hill White Label couture gown. Jane Hill White Label dresses use premium laces and beading. This dress is made from 100% silk lining and lace with a fully constructed bodice and retails at $6,800.

The silk lining colour is 'oyster', which contrasts beautifully with the ivory lace. The dress is strapless with a detailed lace sweetheart neckline. It has bra cups sewn into the dress so no need for a bra. It zips up the back with lace covered buttons hiding the zip. It also has a train which can be easily bustled.

I had small elastic panels sewn inside the gown under each arm to prevent the dress from slipping down - which worked wonderfully well on the day (I never once needed to readjust the dress).

I found the dress very comfortable to wear and dance in too.

The dress is in good condition with no stains, marks or damage.

I am 168cm and wore heels.

I had a matching full length veil with beautiful drop pearls sewn around the edges but instead chose to wear a custom made sheer silk mantle in oyster colour with ivory lace to match the dress (see pictures). This was perfect to wear over the dress on a cool day (or for the self conscious bride to cover a nerve rash or upper arms) and was easily taken off to show off the dress.
