The Dress

Hello dear bride to be, Congratulations!!!

The first thing that hits you with Katherine is the grandeur of this ballgown. It immediately conjures romantic, old-world charm complete with chivalry, stately ceremonies and refined luxury. Katherine is a classic Vera Wang style and remains as a high note in the 'Vera Wang Iconic Collection' today. This special custom gown has intricate lace details with floral designs all over and was purchased at The dress was purchased at the Vera Wang Bridal House in New York City.

Between the layers and layers of tulle and silk organza there’s nothing but air, so as the dress moves you get a magnificent ballet of color and shadow. There are beautiful blooms hand-rolled out of eyelash organza, just peeking out as if from a neatly-wrapped bouquet. The dress has a fitted bodice that highlights the bride's waist, and the asymmetric horsehair detail adds interest and provides a softening of the neckline. The full skirt has layers of tulle and silk organza and intricate floral lace details brings a modern interpretation to the classic ball gown silhouette.

Vera Wang custom added a 12-inch/30.48 cm train extension (with an included bustle to make it floor length in the back) - and it was easy to move in all day and to dance in all night. My friends often commented that my wedding dress is the best one they have seen - the photos attached do not do it justice. I felt like a princess all day.

Rather than the standard zip, the gown has a built-in corset crafted by Vera Wang and built into the side of the dress so it was more forgiving on my day. Vera Wang crafted the corset in a way where you can't see it at all (It's covered with fabric and layers of tulle). This is a great bonus for the lucky buyer as the dress can be flexible with your exact size. It's perfect for a US size 14 but would also accommodate a US size 12 or 16 based on tightening / loosening the corset.

There are no flaws on this dress. I had the gown cleaned and preserved through Madame Paulette (the world's leading luxury cleaning & restoration specialists for bridal, designer apparel, vintage restoration, and special services) and it’s currently in a preservation box (kept in a smokeless and pet free home, and untouched ever since).

This is the most beautiful thing I've ever owned and I hope that another bride will feel as beautiful and special in this gown on their wedding day as I did.
