The Dress

Magical, comfortable dress for any season. While this dress has long sleeves - the material of the sleeves and bottom half of the dress is very light and flowy. I wore it in the summer in Wyoming and was not boiling hot, but you could wear it comfortably in the fall or in the winter with a faux fur wrap and be so comfortable. There are actually 3 layers to the bottom of the dress - two are a little heavier and silky and the outer layer is the silk organza. There is a slight stretch to the fabric of the bodice and the fabric of the arms.

Dress is not currently dry cleaned, but I will dry clean it for anyone who purchases. There are a few places where the bottom of the inner hem will need to be repaired by the purchaser. You can't really see it with the dress on, but I stepped on the inner hem and pulled it out in one place during dancing.

I have never loved my arms, and I felt like a confident, modern princess in this gown. No arm issues on my wedding day!

Alterations

From the original dress, we took about 4 inches off the bottom all the way around. I am 5'6" and had 3 inch heels. Around the waist we took about 3/4 of an inch off on either side. We took the arms in about an inch all the way down and took about an inch off of the shoulders at the top seam.
