The Dress

This is a white/ champagne off the shoulder gown by Eddy K titled Cala, from the Eddy K Dreams collection. This dress is simply gorgeous. We had a a wedding theme that centered around an enchanted forest and this dress was purely magical. I tried on hundreds of dresses and traveled all over the southeast but this dress was “The One.” The dress has detailed 3-D appliqués flowers sewn throughout the dress with silver thread and beading within each center. There are white embroidered flower appliqués that flow down the dress. The neckline is so flattering as it is slightly rounded over the bust then dips midline (not too deep) for a perfect portrait. The layers of tulle made the dress flow while dancing and the silver beading glistened in the candlelight. The sleeves are off the shoulder and the separately purchased soft cups added to the lower portion of the internal bustier made a more hour glass shape and a definite “lift” to the bust. Inside the waist and lower bustier of the gown there are elastic straps that once secured act as a corset cinching in the waist. This was so important to me as it gave the dress a better fit, smoother torso, and a more aesthetic profile. The dress has a hidden zipper to the back followed by small, satin covered buttons down the back of the dress. The dress has a full train which makes the back of the dress as stunning as the front. There are tiny hidden hooks to the back of the dress that secure the train in a beautiful scalloped back appearance for dancing which makes this dress elegant yet functional. There is no need for a crinoline of any kind as this dress has an internal slip as well as layers of tulle. Worn only once and for short duration. I changed into a separate short dress for the reception and dancing. Only worn for ceremony, pictures and first dance. Dry cleaned and ready to wear.

Hemmed to approximately 65”.
Bra cups added for support and additional cup size.
I am 5”4 and wore a 2 inch heel.
