The Dress
This very unusual and beautiful dress is in a dark cream floral / vine pattern organza over an old gold dull satin underskirt. It has a long integral train and ties to lift it for dancing. Originally it was a Sonsie sleeveless model, but I purchased extra fabric from the manufacturer and had 3/4 length sleeves added by a professional seamstress. The inside has a really firm, boned and elasticated corset foundation which means it can be worn without a bra for clean lines. The laced corset back means the bodice size is adjustable and being an a-line, the hip measurements are flexible - it skims over everything! There are pretty, subtle diamonte accents at the waist and on the top of the train at the hem. It was specialist cleaned to protect the embellishments and I still have the £126 receipt for this.
Alterations
See above - 3/4 length sleeves professionally added. Taken in to fit bride - shoulders lifted, skirt shortened very slightly.
