The Dress

Introducing: 'Summer' from Georgia Young Couture’s 2018 ‘Marmalade’ Ready to Wear Collection

Off the shoulder fitted strapless dress. The off the shoulder detail can be undone and tucked or removed, however with it done up it creates a beautiful shape upon the back.

I am bust at 8DD and had the dress fitted firm in this area to ensure it held in place on the day (which it did, not one tug!) There is also some boning at the front to shape the bust.

The dress has a waist band that creates shape (I had my waist altered tighter to give me more shape). As hte material is heavy and stretchy, after the waist seam the dress will mould to your shape and hug your body in all the right places. That panelling also compliments the body shape.

Back has a zip closure making it easy to get into and out of.

I wore the dress with 7cm heels and I am 162cm tall, however the dress was maybe a 1cm or 2 longer than expected.

Dress has been professionally dry cleaned and waiting for it's next perfect day.

Note: My waist naturally is slighly larger than the measurement in the dress as I wanted shape. This made the fit in this area firm, but not uncomfortable for me. The bust and hips are my measurements in the dress however these areas wdo have considerable flexibility, especially the hips.

Alterations

The dress was initially a 12 but altered to fit an 8
The designer was consulted when altering as the size difference was significant and agreed it was okay to be done. Seamstress did a fantastic job altering, you'd never tell it wasn't a size 8.
