The Dress

The Galatea gown is layers upon layers of airy ivory tulle with gorgeous appliqué embroidered flowers all over. It’s such a flattering and comfortable dress to wear! The color combo is called “titanium,” which means that the velvet ribbons on the bodice are a pale silver velvet, and the satin slip beneath all the tulle is also silver, which is very subtle but sets off the appliqué flowers just beautifully. I tried on all 3 colors that this dress comes in (white, blush, and silver) and this was by far my favorite combo…I think it’s the prettiest. I only wore it in my tiny beach elopement ceremony that ended in a quiet romantic dinner, NOT a rough or rowdy reception party. The dress didn’t get wet or even touch the ocean. I just don’t have the space to store such a substantial gown, and I’m not sentimental. It was my dream dress and it MADE my wedding day…let it do the same for you for a fraction of the price. Alterations

The alterations I made were to take in the straps at the shoulders by less than an inch, and to add a bit of tulle and floral appliqué to the deep V plunge to make my cleavage just a little bit less bodacious. The small amount of coverage we added at the bust could be removed without any problem if you didn’t want it. The bridal shop where I purchased told me there was a tiny tear in the tulle that they professionally mended at the base of the rear zipper at the back of the dress. It’s completely unnoticeable and I couldn’t even find it.
