The Dress

This wedding dress is modelled off a Dolce & Gabbana dress. It was made by a Melbourne couturier that worked for several international wedding labels during her career and then went out on her own.

This dress is made of the best French lace together with the best silk duchess satin. The artificial flowers on the dress were individually hand painted and sown on to create a natural cascade that gave the impression of a bouquet in an innovative way.

The dress has no hoop so that it moves naturally with the bride’s movements. This was achieved by using illuminating luxurious tulle to compliment the French lace as you can see the tulle through the front opening of the full skirt. Also, because there was no hoop it made it a very comfortable dress to wear.

The beauty about this dress is that it can be worn as is, save for some fitting alterations or the exceptional quality material can be reused to make the dress of your dreams.

The dress has been dry cleaned and stored professionally since immediately after the wedding therefore there is no age discolouration and comes packed in its own age resistant box.

As for measurements, I do not have those anymore BUT I have used photos of myself in the dress to get a picture of the size and the movement of the dress. Besides, a good tailor will be able to make the dress work for anyone and I would be happy to refer you to several options should you need them.

The dress was valued at more than $20,000 when it was made but let’s be realistic that was some time ago therefore the price I am asking doesn’t even cover the amount of what I paid for only the lace component let-alone all the materials used but the truth is that I don’t need it anymore and it’s a beautiful dress and made with amazing materials and craftsmanship and I just want someone to enjoy it as much as I did.
