The Dress

This dress surpassed all of my expectations! Absolutely beautiful with intricate details, much of this dress is custom-made and one-of-a-kind. Traditional and classic, though designed to be authentically up-to-date with lace, sheer elements that make this dress even more stunning in real life. The form-fitting bodice fits like a glove (without a bra!), the removable belt accentuates your waist, and the full skirt is forgiving and classic. There is also a hidden zipper behind the buttons to make it easier to get in and out of the dress. There is a slight train on the dress, which can be bustled and is seen in the photos at the alter.

- The base of this dress is Augusta Jones Anna in Deluxe Duchess Satin in Ivory, though there are several custom details.
- As the original dress has a sweetheart neckline, the original neckline is raised 1/2 inch.
- An entirely custom lace overlay with a jewel neckline and racer back has been added to the dress, which really helps this dress to stand out. This lace is attached to the dress and is white.
- Buttons have been added down the entire length of the zipper.
- Three layers of tulle have been removed from the skirt to make it more A-line than ball gown.

This dress was originally purchased at Anna Be in Denver, Colorado and the custom alterations were completed at Donna Beth Creations in Denver, Colorado. The dress was professionally cleaned immediately following a single wear at Gold Label Cleaners + Restoration Labs in Englewood, Colorado.

In retrospect, the one change that I would have made would to have worn shoes one inch higher so that the skirt was not on the ground. (I am 5'3", 5'5" in the heels I was wearing.) There is some space available at the hem so that it can be let down a bit.

I tried to include several photos so that you can see the dress from a variety of angles and in different lighting, and to show you how I chose to style the dress on this very special day.

This dress has been professionally dry cleaned so it looks absolutely brand new. I only wore it for a few hours and it is in pristine condition. Will only need a quick steam!

I still get compliments about my wedding dress to this day. I felt so beautiful that day and I know it will do the same for someone else.
