The Dress

Measurements: I am just under 5 ft 7 and I wear a 4/6. With a 32 c bust. This is a size 8 and needed a little alteration in the bra cups.
See the photos of me trying it on in the dressing room. Notice that the train drags a little at the back as I was barefoot. I can only imagine how beautiful it would look after alterations and with shoes, hair, and makeup, etc..

I chose this dress at Blue Sky Bridal in Portland, OR on Feb 28th of last year and returned on March 1 to purchase it for my wedding scheduled for May of last year which we abruptly canceled.
During the pandemic, I got pregnant (before I could even get it altered) so it is untouched and I now need to look for a new dress for our 2021 wedding.
I never wore this dress again after this boutique visit.
It was new off the rack for the upcoming 2020 season.

This dress looks simple and chic but the minute I tried it on I felt as if I was walking on a cloud.
It truly wears like a one-of-a-kind handmade garment.
I am unsure of the exact fabric but it feels like a luxury cotton blend like a couture suit.
It makes you feel as if you are wearing a power suit. It breathes well and hugs your curves.
I must have known it was the last time I would wear it because I did not want to take it off.
It has great movement in the legs and really sculpts your waist and hips with an elegant lightweight casual fabric.
There is a satin type liner and some minimal boning in the bust to waist.
