The Dress
THIS DRESS HAS POCKETS! That was the selling point for me! It’s a slightly off-white, cream-colored strapless (I am wearing a shawl in the cover photo) ballgown with a bit of a train that can be tied up into a bustle (see alterations). The beading and lacework on the bodice made for great photos and I felt like an awesome queen in this dress.
The skirt is still very HEAVY, even for the reasonable train length, but you only have to wear it once.
After wearing the dress once, I sent it off for cleaning. It has been sealed in plastic in storage without any exposure to sunlight, so there hasn’t been any discoloration even though the dress is a few years old now.
Alterations
The skirt was altered with ribbon ties to lift the train into a fluffy bustle after the ceremony.
The length was altered to fit a 5’4” height with flats.
