The Dress

Bliss 2014 by Monique Lhuillier. A Mermaid gown in silk and tulle with a sweetheart neckline, natural waist, and chapel train. The dress is a size 8 and has been altered so waist is closer to a size 6. Alterations include: waist was taken in, the length shortened to fit someone 5'8 in FLATS, the option to bustle the train added, and cups were sewn in the bust but this could be removed.

It's an absolutely beautiful dress and was only worn once for my October wedding. If you are shorter it can be hemmed and/or taken in more. The dress was so fun to dance in and easy to move in when the train was bustled. It has been professionally dry cleaned. The inner layer hemlines did get dirty on the day but the cleaner got most of it out. You definitely would not be able to tell unless you lifted the skirt up and looked at the underneath layers. The outer layers of tulle are very clean. The dress is technically ivory but does look close to white, just not stark white.

You could pair almost any kind of belt with this dress! I wore a matching tulle belt that I am keeping - it is barely noticeable in the photos.
