The Dress

Gorgeous Ines di Santo gown with long sleeves and deep scoop back, purchased new at Bridal Galleria of San Francisco. I fell in love with this dress the moment I tried it on and received an insane number of compliments (I know everyone comliments the bride, but everyone said this was the most stunning dress they'd ever seen). Due to photo size limits on this site, I had to compress photos to a small size, but I have originals if you'd like (better quality).

When I first tried on the gown in March 2020, I weighed 135 pounds (and I'm 5'6"). It was a bit snug, but it fit. When I wore the gown in October 2020, I weighed 125 pounds, and I fit just right with a tiny bit of room to spare (see photos). I typically wear a street size 2-4. I'm happy to provide my exact measurements - please send a direct message.

I made only minor alterations to the gown, specifically the hem (to be worn with 3-4" heels), adding a gorgeous bustle, adding cups (because it's backless - no bra), shortening the sleeves and narrowing the wrists for a very fitted and elegant look. I did not alter the body of the gown in any way.

The gown was worn twice, once for a short ceremony in Santa Barbara, and once for my wedding in Napa. I changed out of the gown for the night portion of the reception, so it didn't receive any extended wear or damage due to late night dancing. I had the gown professionally cleaned at Green's Cleaners in Napa (receipt available upon request).

I also purchased a stunning cathedral veil, retail cost $525, which I will include with the gown. The veil has a slight tear along the outter seam but can be easily fixed and is truly jaw-dropping with the gown.

Alterations

See receipt. I altered the hem (for 5'6" with 3" heels), added a bustle (which is just gorgeous - almost prettier than the full train!), shortened the sleeves a tiny bit and narrowed the sleeves for added elegance. The alterations cost approx. $850 in total and were necessary to make the gown wearable (as I discovered, gowns are produced very long with no bustle, so at a minimum you always need to tailor for that).
