The Dress

Berketex strapless wedding dress. Beatrice Ann Size 12,14,16. Full skirt, including bolero. Condition is "Used".

This was a size 16 sample, that I had altered and taken in to allow for my shape. I’m a 36E, but there is still ample room to be altered. Normally a size 12-14 in dress size.

Beatrice-Ann is an A-line gown with modest sweetheart neckline and gathered tulle skirt. The bodice is heavily detailed with hand-beaded lace appliqués which fade into the skirt and are carefully placed at the bodice neckline to create an eyelash trim effect.

It is finished with a lace-up back fastening, allowing you to pull it in reaaaaaallly tight. Size 12.

I had the bottom taken up – I’m 163cm and wore with 5cm low heels and the skirt just skimmed the floor perfectly.

BOLERO
The bolero was designed and handmade from scratch, matching the colour and tulle after Berketex went into administration and no longer able to honour the purchase of lace appliques. (Luckily, I had already picked up the dress)

Crafted especially, by renowned bridal experts, Chambers Bespoke Tailors - their seamstress matched the lace perfectly. The bolero is removable, after ceremony, photos to reveal a strapless silhouette.

CARE

Dress and bolero have been professionally dry-cleaned (receipt available) this year, and cared for in a bag, and smoke-free, pet-free home.

Alterations

- I had one layer of tulle skirt removed, for a more streamlined, natural shape.
- the bolero (included) was made to measure
- 3 cms off the hem shortened
- the bust area was nipped, tucked and altered to allow for larger chest size, but nip in at waist and back
