The Dress

This dress is classic, elegant and timeless. I immediately fell in love with the simple silhouette, the graceful train and the fact that it has pockets. It was an absolute dream to wear and I’ve received so many lovely compliments.

I purchased it from this website and it remains in wonderful condition. It was custom made for the first bride in 2017 and it’s been carefully dry cleaned on both occasions. I had it altered to have the waist let out slightly and have the hem taken up.

The dress has a striking open v back, a boat neck and under arm cut outs. It has a floor length train which can be bustled up a few different ways for dancing later in the night.

I am about 170cm tall and my heels were about 9cm. My waist was about 70cm at the time of the wedding.

There are some faded stains on the silk underlay which the dry cleaner was unable to remove the first time the dress was worn. These are not visible when wearing the dress and I could barely see them.

Suzanne Harward is an incredible Australian designer based in Melbourne. The gown was initially purchased for $7,995.
