The Dress

'Vera' Bridal or Debutante Gown in 'Blush' fabric. You can see other photos of this gown on the Leah S Designs website. The colour is very subtle and looks like traditional ivory with just the barest tint of peachy pink. I had a veil made of matching fabric but ivory veils can also be worn and will not look mismatched (advice from the designer). Cost was $1399 + $150 for Bustle.

The ruffles are very soft and petal like, they do not feel stiff and they are not noisy. There is a train on the dress but a bustle option has been added, it is very easy to bustle up and let down as you wish throughout your day. The dress is very well boned and very supportive. The dress shapes your body so there is no need for additional corsetry or shape wear which can be very uncomfortable.

The corset back allows for a wide variation of sizes. Fully closed it is a standard 14 ,regular dress size 14 rather than tiny traditional bridal sizing. There is a large modesty panel that covers the whole back so you can leave the lacing open to make the dress fit up to size 18-20. Beyond that you may not have enough of the panel BUT this depends on your own bust and waist shape. I usually wear a size 18 in standard dresses and pants (shops like Target).

The dress was worn for just an hour. I got married at the start of the covid lockdown, what was supposed to be a 70 guest wedding was reduced to just 5 so it hasn't gone through any kind of messy reception experience (and no dance floor destruction). It has been professionally cleaned and boxed by a specialist bridal gown cleaner -my dress box, so it is ready to be worn for your big day. Therefore, while I am very happy to offer a try on, I would prefer to do so on the condition that you feel very confident that you will want to buy it if it fits you well. It is in pristine condition and as close to new as anyone could hope for.

Alterations

The dress has had a bustle added which is an alternation that most people with a train will want, so this alteration has been considered in my asking price.

The dress was also hemmed slightly as it was very long. It is now floor length for someone around 163cm tall wearing 2cm heel shoes.
