The Dress

This dress, the stunner, is a true Rue size 8 and still with the tag on.

From when my partner proposed to me in 2017, I knew this was the dress I wanted. And going to the boutique to try this on in February last year confirmed my feelings on Avril. I felt stunning in the slip alone and when I saw myself in the mirror I couldn't conceal my grin!

An absolutely stunning dress to look at and wear. It’s comfortable, elegant, allows plenty of movement and feels light. Just a delight.

I have only tried this dress on at home twice. It hasn't been altered so is the true Rue size 8.

The slip I chose was the one I felt flattered my figure the most (the one picture) it was the more expensive option but I felt it was totally worth it! The fabric feels a more luxurious quality to the original that comes with the Avril, it has a plunge which draws your eye to chest detail as you'll see in the photos. It does have a piece of mesh across the cleavage too which you can’t see through the dress, I was going to wear a stick on bra if anything as the material felt full enough to do so.

The reason I'm selling this is because we cancelled our wedding which was meant to be in September 2020, as many others did too, but we have decided not to rebook at this moment in time for various reasons. After waiting patiently for 6 months for it to arrive, it’s been a really hard decision to list this, but I feel so sad about that fact it is hanging in a closet being kept safe when it can make someone even happier than it made me when I chose it, on their actual wedding day.
