The Dress

This is a beautiful Ritva Westenius unworn sample in size 12, bought at the Brides sample sale this year.

The label says it is style 0075: Medici with Bolero C, made of ivory silk mayfair crepe.

It's a stunning, simple and elegant dress, and has not been altered at all. I am a size 10ish and it hangs very flatteringly on me, although if I had worn it I might have had the bust altered (taken in) slightly. I think it would fit up to a street size 12.

I ended up getting married at a garden nursery, and wearing a much cheaper dress that I wouldn't be scared of getting muddy! But for a more formal day, this is an absolutely dream dress, and is exactly what I wanted in being both completely sumptuous, and very classic and sophisticated. I hope it will make someone's wedding day!

There is one small sign of it being a sample - a slight nick on the silk at the front. This is pictured in the photos. It's not visible unless you're looking for it.
