The Dress

It was a difficult decision to let go of this dream gown. We're saving for a deposit on our dream home and hence decided to share the beauty and elegance of the magical gown with a new bride. I hope it brings you all the happiness and delight on your happy day as it did me. If you're looking to be the star and bright light of your wedding day, this dress will both metaphorically and literally channel your inner radiance.

This dress is tailor made by JoJo at Arushie Bridal Couture, JoJo is the owner and founder of Arushie and a famous designer in Sydney, Australia. He personally measured me and let me know that I was a perfect size 2 (US) and perfect size 8 (Australia). On one of my visits to his studio, JoJo had royalty and wealthy families flying in from the Middle East to have him hand sew them a gown.

This was the best feeling piece of clothing I've ever worn. The 100% Italian silk gown feels like heaven on your skin. The lace up bodice fits like it's made for you. The fit and fabric is very supportive, very loving, very giving, it will mold to your body as the day goes on. Right after the wedding I had it professionally dry cleaned and boxed to maintain the colour, freshness and integrity of the silk and crystals. The skirt bodice and overlay are made from different shades of ivory silk. Swarovski crystals have been hand stitched onto the bodice and around the complete circumference of the veil. The silver lace sewn right below the breasts and at the hip line is woven from actual silver which is woven into the lace.

The fit is perfect for size 2 - 4, as the bodice laces up at the back, there is a lot of flexibility for different shapes and sizes. I'm a bra size C to D depending on the time of the month and because of the lace up bodice the breast support was incredible, you can pull it tight like I did and make it like a push up bra or you can leave yourself some room to breath. My height is 5.3 WITHOUT shoes. The shoes I wore were low, about a one inch heel.

There are no flaws. There are some natural variations in all 100% silk and you'll see these as little bumps, they are consistent on the bodice and add to the beauty and uniqueness of the gown.

Included: dress, tie for the lace up bodice, veil.
Not included: The designer loaned me the hoop / wire petticoat that fits under the dress to give it volume so you may want to buy or borrow one. I was told it wasn't essential so you can also wear it without one if you prefer.
