The Dress

This dress is designed by Aleena Leena of South Africa, full sleeve, full trumpet, backless, and with a luminous fabric that is flattering & supportive. The Tulip Gown is classic elegance at its best. A high boatneck plunges into a deep open back, and diagonal darts ensure a beautifully figure-hugging mikado fabric silhouette. The twisted sleeve seam are emphasised with tiny buttons that add class.

This is my October 2020 wedding dress, worn once. It was dry cleaned several days after being worn and was purchased new from Strike Bridal in Milwaukee.

I had size-A cups sewn in at bust, and a ballroom bustle added so that the short train can be tied under and fall organically as though there is no train, if needed. I am 5’8” and wore 3” heels, dress would be 5’11-6’ in length.

It has a beautiful jersey-knit fabric with a comfortable and flattering firm stretch to it. The fabric of this dress is one of the best details.

I normally wear size 4/6 in the US, but this dress is size 8 and fit perfectly. A-cups could be replaced or removed.
