The Dress

This is a Jane Hill BOWIE dress from their Adore 2020 collection. The link to the designer's website on this dress is here: https://www.janehill.com.au/bowie-gallery. I purchased it from Kinsley James Beverly Hills.

I am 5'10" around 140 pounds with a slender/athletic build. I normally wear US dress size 4 or 6 depending on the fit I want to achieve. I think the shop measured me and ordered me a AU12 because my of my bust (I am 32D)? I did minimal tailoring around the wait and nothing else. The hips are more forgiving as I don't have much in that area but with the way the dress is designed, the fabric drops from the waist down and there is plenty of room. There are no sewn bra cups (I wore stickers) and the length is the same. If you have similar or smaller measurements than me, this should work for you. The material is a very soft, almost stretchy material. The color is "natural" and it's best described as a soft white color.

I first saw this dress on IG and instantly fell in love with it. I ordered it back in late 2019 and it took about 8 months for it to come. Skip the production time with my dress. If you are in the Los Angeles area, please reach out and you can come see the dress in person before you commit.

I am one of those brides affected by covid-19 and was unable to hold an actual gathering. My husband and I opted for a very small (just us two) vow exchange and photos for about an hour. Yes, I've worn the dress for just one hour. You will receive the dress dry cleaned - hopefully as good as new.

I also have a very delicate silk cathedral pearl veil that I paired the dress with. I bought it for a little over $400 on Etsy (handmade) and it's absolutely stunning.
