The Dress

This is a Jenny Lee dress from her Fall 2010 collection. It is style #1001. I included a picture of the original and then a few that I thought captured some good details. The dress is a tag size 10. The body of the dress wasn't altered at all, so the online measurement guide provided by the designer still rings true. I was 5'5, 145lbs at the time of the wedding and wore 4 inch heels (hence the pic with the shoes showing). I did have a lot of the skirt taken out. The tulle was taken out and the sides were taken in to create more of a straight line rather than the A-line shown on the model. I also had the train taken off so no bustle was needed. It is about an inch longer in the back than the front, but I think I managed to take it all up in my booty :) It is a true white dress. The dress is pretty comfortable and has a lot of structure, so the expensive undergarments aren't needed. The bottom has a bit of discoloration from normal wear (we had an outdoor lawn wedding and took pictures on the beach), but nothing that a new one wouldn't accumulate. There are no stains or spills anywhere on the body or skirt. Overall it looks really good. It is a beautiful and fun dress that can easily be glammed up or work for a summer beach wedding.
