The Dress

I bought this dress from Glamour Closet in Chicago, an off-the-runway, sample sale wedding dress store. I fell in love with the dress when I found it since it is so different and playful with the beautiful polka dot silk organza fabric, and intricate detailing with the ribbon and pleats. I was planning a more casual, summery, outdoorsy wedding in our 100 year old church and a reception at a beautiful country club nearby, and the dress fit very well with those settings. I ended up canceling my wedding, so I would love to find a home for this lovely dress!

The dress was a size 8 label size when I purchased it, and has been altered down to about a size 6, and hemmed. I am 5'5 and planned to wear 4 heels. Dropped waist/hips (across pleats): 16 Dropped waist: 31 Hips: 38 It was in great condition with a few minor flaws- there were some rips that have been repaired during alterations, and some very very minor discolorations at the bottom of the dress from dragging on the floor/general wear. It has been bustled with three ties, and has a 4 foot (ish) long train.
