The Dress

My wedding dress for December 2019 was absolute perfection! It is a beautiful ivory with a “latte-colored” underlay which makes the lace overlay and beading details pop.

The neckline is extremely flattering. I would recommend sticky boobs as a strapless would show on the back.

The hook/loop buttons on the back were a show stopper! My MOH used a crochet hook to quickly catch each loop and button quickly. That tip was a life saver! And every button/loop is still in tact.

The closest I can come to describing the bustle is a Royal/Victorian style.

I included a photo of the back of the dress from my wedding day. And 2 close-up pictures of the bustle.

The dress has been professionally dry cleaned and sealed ($150).

The dress is in perfect condition.

Alterations

The lace straps were taken in 1.5 inches so the bodice fit better. The dress was also shortened to accommodate my height. I am 5’7” w/o shoes. My heel was 1.5 inches tall and the dress accommodates that beautifully.

I paid $450 for the alterations (and bustle) but they were worth every penny because the dress tailor was exceptional in the way she handled the lace.
