The Dress

The dress was my dream come true, so I hope it will become yours, too! The surface of the dress is entirely lace from top to bottom. I loved it because it is modest and yet sexy, form-fitting and yet still leaves something to the imagination. The lace sleeves come to right below the elbow and the back of the dress has lace that is asymmetrical with a zipper up past the hips and then buttons to the shoulders to the neck, making it unique and fun! The train flares out but also can be pinned up for the reception and dancing. The underlayer (that touches your skin) is polyester, and I was comfortable sitting, standing, taking photos, and dancing quite a bit at the reception. While we did take photos in the grass, the dress has been dry cleaned since wearing it at the wedding and I do not see any stains. I only wore the dress on my wedding day and it appears to be in great condition.

Alterations

The dress had the height altered to match mine with shoes (about 5'7 1/2 " with shoes)and we added a beautiful lace to the hemline at the bottom (it was a straight cut, unfinished lace before). See final picture for this detail. The lace matches the rest of the dress perfectly. No alterations were made to the size.
