The Dress
This gorgeous, timeless gown is suitable for all seasons. It has a vintage art-deco look to it, and flatters the figure beautifully. I received no less than a million compliments on this dress and felt truly stunning. To quote the boutique associate, "this dress is simple, but not ordinary." The beading is incredibly intricate and detailed, and its quality is very apparent. If I were accepting an Oscar, I could wear this magical dress once again, but to shorten or alter it for another function would be a travesty. There was a slight pull in the fabric along the train which can be easily trimmed off and corrected, otherwise the dress is in excellent condition and ready for another special occasion.
Alterations
I had the bust and shoulders taken in to a size 4, these changes can easily be reversed. I had the dress shortened to my height, and a few layers of still tulle in order to keep the shape at the bottom (removable). Some bustle hooks and strings were added as well.
