The Dress

Bedazzled, custom made for me in June 2011, also bought by Melanie Sykes.

This is a stunning gold/champagne French lace and fully hand-beaded gown.

I worked with Chenca at Ritva Westenius to design this dress as there was nothing around like it at the time. I didn’t want a tradition white gown and wanted something with beading and lace for a romantic look.

Bedazzled has a champagne coloured 100% silk/satin underlay, with ivory detailed lace over the top. The lace has stunning hand sewn beading and sequin detail all over the dress.

It has the “wow” factor in light and sparkles at night. There is a bodice inside that acts like a corset to hold you in place, and also light padding in the bust area so you don't have to wear a bra. The back fastens with lovely fabric little buttons- no zip required. It has detachable lace straps, which you can wear in the day and remove at reception for a slightly different look from ceremony to evening. I also have a stunning blush bridal feather wrap/bolero which is available to purchase alongside the dress.

I’m 5'6 and wore two inch heels.
I wore this (only once of course!) and it
has been professionally dry cleaned, in excellent condition. It’s a size 10 but please do message me for exact measurements.

I’m also delighted to send to as a gift a small clutch bag made in the same fabric so that by night you can keep any bits like your lippy close to hand.

Ritva Westenius is one of Britain’s most renowned and respected wedding dress designers around, and won British Wedding Dress designer of the year 2012- check out her website. Here is the description of this dress on there:

Bedazzled : Strapless gown with detachable lace capped sleeves, boned bodice and sweetheart neckline with skirt panning out from the lower hip forming a flattering silhouette. The fabric details are, tulle lace with beaded and gold thread embroidery over Champagne slipper satin.

This cost me £6,000 as it was custom designed and the first of its kind. Selling for two reasons; I desperately need the space as I’m renovating my flat but perhaps most importantly, it’s such a jewel that I would love someone else to enjoy the beauty of wearing it on their special day.
