The Dress

I loved wearing this beautiful classic dress. I knew I wanted a wedding dress that was going to look timeless when I looked back through photos and stunning in its simplicity and this dress ticked these boxes! This dress has a structured form-fitting bodice but it was still comfortable to move about in. It also has a paneled skirt and a separate tailored belt that sits flat across the waist. The main features of this dress are the low back and also the dramatic train(that can be easily bustled for later in the night).

It was purchased from the Karen Willis Holmes boutique in Melbourne. All KWH dresses are designed & handmade in Australia and it has only been worn once.

Alterations

I am usually a street size 10 in bottoms and size 8 in tops. Therefore this dress would fit someone with similar proportions to myself or someone who is usually a straight size 8. This dress was originally a size 10 however after some simple alterations, both the bust and waist were taken in and are now size 8 equivalent and the hips around size 10 equivalent.

There were two soft cups sewn into the bust to provide some extra structure to this area of the bodice. If you happen to have a bigger bust, the original seamstress has explained that these could easily be removed by an alterations place and it would work for someone with a larger bust than myself.

This dress has been professionally dry-cleaned. There are no marks or stains.
