The Dress

This dress is GORGEOUS. My wedding has been changed dramatically due to COVID-19 and I've decided that this dress isn't right for my more casual wedding, so I've not worn it. I tried on the sample at Wendy's Bridal in Columbus and it fit me so well that I bought it so I could take it home that day. I had it professionally cleaned and pressed by a wedding dress specialist and it is in new condition- no indication that it was a try-on at all.

This dress is a dream boat of sexy and romantic. It's a deep V front, back, AND side. I can actually put it on without any help- I just step right in. It's so romantic and summery and beautiful and timeless!! I've only worn it to try on- it never made it to a wedding. It comes with a simple sash-style belt.

I've had small alterations made, including the addition of a bustle which is hidden under the belt. I've added details about the alterations below.

This dress retails brand new for $1500. I paid $850 for it, then invested $150 in professional cleaning, $90 for the beaded sash, and $450 total for alterations, ~$200 of which was for the bustle which this dress definitely needs because of its train. It is so beautiful and I really do love it! I hope someone else can wear it and feel as great as I did when I tried it on all day!

Alterations

- Skirt hemmed to floor length (5'8'' in shoes)
- Straps shortened ~1.5 inch
- Bust taken in ~.5 inch per side (fitted to my 36 D chest)
- American style bustle added

For reference, I am normally a street size 8 in jeans and dresses. I wear medium size tops and a 36 D bra. I am 5'6'' and weigh 155 lbs.
