The Dress

This stunning bridal gown is hand made to order by the beautiful French Israeli designer, Liz Martinez. This dress was purchased from a bridal store in East London, made in Israel and then shipped back to the bridal store in London. The 'Gisele' gown is from the 2018 Paris collection.

This gown is made with the highest quality white French lace, featuring a scalloped plunge V-neck line (there is invisible mesh across the chest for support) and scalloped plunging back (back zip), stunning bell/trumpet sleeves and a wonderful train (roughly 60-75cm in length).

The dress is fitted at the waist, floor length with an in built bustle - it was super easy and light to walk around and dance in. The lace features gentle embellishment of beads and sequence throughout the gown complimenting the pattern of the lace whilst catching the light beautifully, especially throughout the night. The top of the gown is made up of lace only and the nipple/breast area is covered with the same nude lining as the bottom of the gown. The bottom half of the gown has a light nude mesh lining with an additional cream underlay.

We got married in a catholic church in Southern Italy, therefore the low V-neckline had to be covered when I was present in church, this was easily and quickly resolved. Liz Martinez kindly sent additional french lace with the dress and a seamstress in London created a scalloped lace patch which was then clipped onto the dress using clear 'poppers'. The poppers are not visible at all. The scalloped lace patch was easily popped on and off the front of the dress, covering up the low neck line and also creating the illusion that I was wearing two different dresses (bonus!). During the ceremony I had the more 'conservative' look and then as we left the church, I removed the lace patch and showed off the sexy but tasteful low neck line. The lace patch is also included with the sale of the dress (optional).

I truly love this dress, from the moment I tried it on in the bridal store in London, to when I walked down the aisle and then danced the night away. I don't have a slim body type and am fussy with fitted/floor length gowns on myself however I have never felt as comfortable and confident as I did in this stunning gown. I wore skin coloured short style spanks under the dress for the added confidence (personal choice). This dress truly added to the magic of our day.

The gown has been professionally dry cleaned by UK specialist bridal dry cleaner Terrington Burchett, they truly did an amazing job. True to wearing any floor length gown, there was cleaning required at the very bottom of the gown however the dry cleaner removed all of the visible marks and the dress is in amazing condition.
