The Dress

Motivated seller! I’m moving across country this fall and could definitely use the cash. This dress is guaranteed to make you feel like million bucks on your big day. I wore the dress for my destination wedding in Rome, Italy in September 2019. It has a sweeping train, which I chose to bustle for the majority of the day except the outdoor photos. The dress secures with a back zipper that is subtly hidden beneath the sequined stitching on the backside. See details below re: bustling and seamstress work. I normally wear between a size 2 and 4, so no alterations were necessary for high waist of the dress, which is tightest around the bust and lower rib cage before flowing freely. This dress is great for those who love dancing as the leg slit provides greater mobility and the flowy tulle is easily secured with the 5-point bustle. I had the dress professionally dry cleaned immediately upon returning to the U.S. and have preserved it in its garment bag since then. There are no visible signs of wear and tear on the dress, and I would be thrilled to have you wear this dress to celebrate the best day of your life!

Alterations

I spent $450 at a reputable seamstress in D.C., Cheryl T. Lofton, to add a 5-point bustle for securing the train. She also reinforced the seaming in the back zipper for bust support in the front as I opted to go bra-less (I wear a 34DD) and wanted to ensure I was secure in the dress and able to dance freely all night long! The lace was not altered at the bottom during alterations and maintains enough additional material to easily alter for a shorter or smaller bride.
