The Dress

Hi there!

I am selling a beautiful, new Mori Lee gown. Dress has been altered, but never worn at a wedding, so it is READY TO GO for your big day, TODAY! Best of all, I’m willing to let potential buyers try her on and will come to you if you are within 50 miles. House is COVID free and a detailed cleaning has been done and will be done until the dress has been purchased.

Dress details:
Designer: Mori Lee by Madeline Gardner
Style: Lizzie-8283
Size: 8 (wedding gown sizes run small so you generally go up in gown sizes)
Fit: it is somewhat stretchy around the butt, but is meant to be fitted. Torso is fitted and really pulls the tummy and torso in at all the right places.

What I loved:
- fitting crepe
- beautiful beading
- embroidered appliqués
- sheer illusion sides
- key hole back, and low back
- scalloped train that hangs so perfectly!

What was altered:
- straps were shortened (I’m 5’1” without shoes)
- under layer was shortened fall just above the top of the foot with 4 inch heels
- three buttons were added to the bottom area for bustle. Situated right by bottom of butt to give a nice line for the back of the dress.

Dress has never been worn at any event, only tried on a few times. Change of heart for my wedding this fall so need a different dress that will match our wedding day better.

I ordered this dress from a bridal store and paid full price ($1750) plus alterations ($250). I’m also willing to throw in the matching Mori Lee veil that is shown in the pictures. I reside in Los Angeles, CA.

What was altered:
