The Dress

This stunning dress made by Catherine R Couture has intricate Applique flowers on bodice, with some sequins for subtle sparkle. I chose this dress because it had beautiful and unique fabric, rather than standard cheaper dresses. I also wanted a dress that me feel comfortable, I could sit, stand , dance and I wanted my bust well covered/ supported.

Top layer of skirt is A line see through white with an ivory silk straight layer underneath. The beauty of this dress is in the fabric, and the cherry blossom flowers . Also the simple silhouette is very flattering.
Under the dress I wore a nude underwire bra rather than cup inserts because I am a bra size 12D and I wanted to be comfortable and supported. The bra was not noticeable and I felt so much better for it. Initially it had cup inserts but I thought they were far more noticeable then the bra.
Dress is professionally dry cleaned, no stains or marks. One or two of the applique flowers on the back requires some hand stitching to re apply- but I don't think this is a big job and won't spoil the look of the dress. There was a bustle so I could button up the train at the back, the button has come off but you could reapply another one if you want to be able to pin up the train.

Alterations

I had the dress slightly taken in from the standard size 12 but you can see the measurements above. the dress could be easily altered again to suit.
