The Dress

I absolutely love this dress! It's elegant with clean lines, and modern at the same time. Monique Lhuillier describes it as a silk white mikado v-neck dress. Nude illusion neckline inset. Wide waistband. Pleated full skirt with pockets (!!). Back zipper with v-back. Silk lining. Bustle to bring in the train.
It was really comfortable and forgiving so I didn't have to worry at all about eating too much. Did I mention it has pockets??? Basically the perfect dress.
I am normally a size 0-2. I wear size 25 jeans, XS/0 shirts and 32C/34B bras.
I am 5'3.5" and wore 3" heels.
The dress was professionally dry cleaned and has been sitting in the garment bag ever since.

Alterations

The original dress was a size 4. It was shortened and taken in, and the bustle modified to be more secure. Once tied up, I hardly noticed the extra weight.
The dress now runs approximately 146cm from shoulder to hem at the front, and 162cm from waist to hem at the back to account for the train.
It was taken in at the waist (so it's now 26.5 inches at the wide waistband).
And there were other minor tweaks throughout, such as breast pads put in.
