The Dress

I bought this gorgeous two piece from Still White but given the current global situation we have decided to opt for a pared back wedding so I am wearing a high street wedding dress instead. I've contacted the original seller in Australia who has kindly agreed for me to use her photographs and description.

'This is a beautiful two piece wedding dress that any bride will look amazing in. I fell in love with the top which is by Wendy Makin. It is made from Chantilly lace in a boat neck overlay and scalloped waist midriff. It has pearl buttons up the back and is sheer, though the lace pattern provides a lot of coverage (I wore a skin coloured bandeau underneath). For me, the top sat just on the skirt waist band when my arms were down but raised slightly as I moved around. It looked very flattering and I got lots of compliments and I wouldn't normally wear something like this as I've had three kids and don't really have a tiny waist.

It was hard to find exactly what I wanted with the skirt so I had this custom made from a dress by Alfred Sung. It is very comfortable to wear and a very flattering shape. Floor length at the back and mid length at the front. Perfect for showcasing some beautiful shoes and great for the dance floor. It even has pockets! For me it sat quite high which worked really well.'

The dress was shipped to me in the UK. I have tried it on a couple of times and removed the dry cleaning tag. It is as new and with no marks. I am a UK size 12, sometimes a 14 and it fits perfectly.

Alterations

The skirt was originally a dress and I had the top removed so it was just a skirt. A belt is included. The top is a size 12 and has not been altered.
