The Dress

I bought this dress for my wedding in September 2018. Finally getting round to selling it. It was from the [removed] collection. The designer is Marylise and it’s from the ‘Once in a Lifetime’ collection.

I am a size 16/18 on the high street, and the dress size was 20. I had the shoulder straps shortened slightly and waist taken in slightly. The length wasn’t adjusted at all as I am tall [removed] and also wore high heels on my day so it was the perfect length for me. It has several layers of netting underneath and then the silk layer on top so gives a good A line silhouette and is very flattering. The back has covered buttons all the way up so the back view is very pretty. The top half of the dress is all lace detail with sequin embellishment so has a sparkle without being OTT. The straps are sheer lace but the built in bodice covers the bust and bra strap so you can where a bra if you need to (I did but I am big busted). I’ve tried to capture this detail in the photographs but please contact me if you need more information or photos.

The dress was dry cleaned straight after the wedding and two tiny stains that’s were on it have now come out. I didn’t have a standard wedding and there was little partying afterwards. Consequently the train and hemline are in perfect condition. The dress was bought new from a wedding boutique in my hometown of South West Wales for £1350. It is now with me in Basingstoke, Hampshire.

Alterations

Lace shoulder straps shortened slightly and waist taken in slightly. Would comfortably now fit a person who is a size 16 or small 18.
