The Dress
This is a 2-piece dress- a simple, silk slip-style dress with a lace overlay on top. The silk slip dress was made by a local, independent designer. She used crepe silk. The lace overlay with bell sleeves is from Atelier Emelia (a French designer). It is the "Manteau Artiste" from their S/S 2019 collection, and it was featured in Vogue Paris.
During the reception, I took the lace overlay off and wore only the silk slip- it's very light and comfortable. The lace overlay retails for about $1300 and I spent $1200 on having the silk slip dress made.
Alterations
I'm 5'1.5'' and wore 3-inch heels, so the length was adjusted to fit this. It has been dry cleaned, but there is a very faint stain on the back of the dress, below the butt area (see photo).
