The Dress

The story behind this wedding dress is a unique one! I originally purchased a different gown from the bridal store and after the dress came in, it was super tight because they had incorrectly measured me. Since my wedding date was May 2020 and quickly approaching, the bridal store generously allowed me to swap out the original gown that I had purchased for this sample gown so that I could have it in time for my wedding. Fast forward to March 2020 and because of COVID-19 we had to temporarily cancel our wedding day. I never had any alterations done to this gown and since it is a sample, it has never been worn for a wedding.

This gown is so beautiful and deserves to be warn for someones special wedding day! This is an Essence of Australia gown that is a size 10. I have also included photos of the back of the dress where the button areas need to be corrected. (I do have 2 packets of extra beads included so that you can provide it to your seamstress.)

I would say this is a mixture of a sheath and fit and flare gown because it is not an obvious fit and flare and depending on how you alter it, you could make it into a sheath style as well. The gown is an ivory/cream gown and has beautiful floral lace and sequin detailing throughout. The top of the gown is stunning with beaded straps and v neckline with sheer material within the v. The top of the dress has built in padding and does not have the same lining as the bottom of the dress but it is very tasteful and you have the option lining it or keeping it as is. The back of the dress is a low back with sheer floral detail, beaded detail and buttons. I have included a few different photos that show different lighting on the dress- the color picks up more ivory and more cream depending on the lighting.
