The Dress

This absolutely gorgeous, light as air, elegant yet playful Rime Arodaky Ailey gown was perfect for my big day (February 16, 2020). This beautifully crafted and delightfully comfortable gown was superb for my beach wedding. I'm confident it would be just as stunning on you, whatever your venue!

The gown is in excellent "like-new" condition and has no staining. A dry clean closer to your big day would be more than sufficient as the material is light and delicate. I would discourage over-cleaning the dress, due to the material to ensure it is in perfect condition for your big day (this is why I haven't dry-cleaned it).

I am 5 feet 4 inches tall with no heel and weigh about 115 pounds. I wore the dress with a small heel to start the day and was barefoot for the remainder (which was likely the majority of the time!). Typically I wear a size 4, so would fit anyone who is a small or even an extra small with minimal alterations.

I purchased the dress from Loversland in Toronto, Ontario and had slight alterations done, which I have detailed below. I did have a bustle added to the dress - no hand loop was necessary. The train is a great length, so even if the bustle wasn't added it would have been okay.

I was beyond happy with my Ailey gown by Rime Arodaky. The gown has the slight trumpet silhouette with an A-line tulle over skirt and it was just so, so dreamy. It was about 25 degrees celsius on my wedding day in Cancun Mexico, so this dress performs ideal in warm weather even with the long sleeves (the embroidery is so stunning!). I was in such a state of bliss in this dress and my spouse couldn't keep his eyes off! My dress was everything I was looking for and maybe you'll fall in love with Ailey, just the way I did.

Alterations

I did have alterations completed. I had the sleeves taken in very slightly, it was hemmed, the bodice was altered and the hip was taken in. Please see measurements below for full details:
