The Dress

This is an Allure dress that I bought as a sample from a boutique in 2019. The dress design was not mass produced in their full line and so is very nearly one of its kind. The dress has a nude jersey underlay that is very forgiving and structured cups so I didn't have to wear a bra. I am 5'2 and wore 2 inch wedges. The bustle is a beautiful custom American Split Layer bustle with 11 bustle points. The bustle transforms the dress into a completely different look. The dress has a good weight to it--which helped keep it laying smoothly throughout the night. I had no difficulty dancing in it at all, and, because of its slim profile, I had no issues with other people stepping on it.

There is no major damage or stains on the dress. The hem has some slight wearing in 2 parts that would be easy to repair. Several of the bustle eyelets are loose or pulled free which is also an easy repair.

The dress was not mass produced so retail price is hard to compare. I paid $2100 plus $300 for alterations.

I am happy to have the dress cleaned. It is only slightly dirty on the hem. I have only waited to do so because I would have to send it out to another city to have it done right and I was deciding on cleaning vs preserving.

1) Hemmed to 5'4 (5'2 bride with 2 inch wedges)
2) Taken in under arms
3) Custom 11 point bustle added (Plus one bustle loop for underlayer)
