The Dress

Oh my I felt absolutely stunning in this dress. I had sooo many compliments. For me it was the simple classy look that I was after and this dress gave me all of that. I had it altered to be more form fitting (at a local tailors), including the sleeves which were way too flared for me originally. The dress is made with lovely thick material which also has a lining. There is an invisible mesh panel to the front bust area. I wore perky pear under the dress to give my bust some support as the sewn in cups do not hold (I am a D cup). Honestly it really is so beautiful! I wore this dress for around 3 hours only. It has been dry cleaned.

Bought from BHLDN it comes with the original bag (I have cut the WATTERS label as it was rubbing into me).

There is some bobbling to the material (all on the under skirt so not visible when worn). There are also two very faint marks to the rear part of the lower skirt, unless you squint they are barely noticeable. They are so light I couldn't photograph them, but I want to give the full details to avoid any disappointment.

Alterations

I took around 3/4 of the fabric from the bell sleeve as I wanted a much more sleeker look. The length was hemmed (but not the back leaving a trian). I am 5ft 3 inches and wore 3in heel on the day. I had it taken in around the bust and down giving a much sleeker look. The dress is made from a thick stretchy fabric which i found very comfortable. I am a typical UK 10/12 (upper body) and UK 12 lower as I am wider around the hips. The dress was so flattering I wish I could wear it again!
