The Dress

I loved wearing this dress for my wedding, it felt like me. I love the way the skirt flows and moves. And the lace/ beading on the bodice is just enough to provide some interesting detail without being over the top. The skirt has a silk under layer and a chiffon over layer. The chiffon is cut wide giving it some movement so that the fabric hangs nicely and is very forgiving.

There are beautiful buttons down the back that conceal a zipper. The zipper allows for getting in and out of the dress much quicker than the faux buttons would!

This dress was a sample dress, but had no detectable defects or stains when purchased. As far as current defects, there is one little thread about 1/4" sticking out from the back chiffon fabric (don't want to cut it incase it causes a run), and on the front beneath the left breast there is a small tear in the sheer overlay maybe 1/16" that you probably won't even notice but I just want to be honest that it's there!

It has been professionally cleaned by Heritage Garment Preservation (which I highly recommend if you want to clean it again after wearing! They are great).

Alterations

A small lace piece was inserted into the V-neck to make the neckline higher (less plunging ;)), but it could be easily removed and restored back to the original neckline. Soft cups were added inside so you don't have to wear a bra, but are easily removed. The bust was taken in a bit (I am a 34C). And the train was cut off so the skirt hangs beautifully just above the floor.
