The Dress

I found this dress at a local boutique. The designer of the dress specifically designs for the boutique which has been around for 40+ years. The bust has built-in bone structure that extends from the bust to right below the waist-line. It slims your waist and acts as a built in bra which is fantastic because of the open back. The straps have a lining that help them stay up and not slip off the shoulders. I did not have to worry about falling straps and a constant re-adjusting throughout the day. The dress has a beautiful floral lace throughout the dress and the train. The straps, neckline and open back seam have beadwork pattern unique to the designer. They add just the right amount of sparkle to accentuate the lace but not over power it. They also do not interfere with the comfort of the dress in any way shape or form.

Alterations

I got this dress taken in at the hips and around the bust along the bone in structure. There is a classic American bustle that is designed to showcase the lace work on the train. The bustle strings are still in tact and numbered for ease of bustling. The buttons on loops on the train for bustling are also still in tact and in good condition. I had it hemmed to my height in flats. It sits comfortably right at floor length without having to worry about constant tripping and or stepping on the dress.
