The Dress

Having got married in June 2019, the time has now come to sell my stunning wedding dress. I have worn this wedding dress once, and it made me feel like a million dollars!

This fit and flare Lillian West dress with a train is ivory coloured lace with a 'sand' colour underskirt. The sand colour underneath really makes the beautiful lace stand out, but still looks like an 'Ivory' wedding dress for the photographs.

I honestly found the dress very comfortable to wear all day; it was the perfect combination of sexy, elegant and classy, without being too hot (and it was hot weather on our wedding day!) I am 5ft 5", and the heels I wore for our wedding were approx 1" in height. I have had the dress dry cleaned, and there are no marks on it, and no signs of wear.

The original dress design did not have sleeves, and the seamstress has lovingly made the cap sleeves, using the same lace and applique that is used in the main body of the dress. The sleeves blend in perfectly, and no-one can tell they have been added as an extra. Because of the sleeves, this dress is now a one-off design. The sleeves could be removed by a seamstress, if you prefer a sleeveless dress.

Other minor alteration include making the waist slightly smaller, and the length slightly shorter in the body as well as the main skirt. The dress was originally a size 14, but I would say it is a 12 now. Check out my measurements in this advert to see.

The seamstress has also sewn a little blue bow sewn into the inside, for your 'something blue'.

Alterations

This dress has been altered. The cap sleeves have been lovingly made, using the same lace and applique as the main body of the dress. It has also been altered slightly to make the waist smaller and length slightly shorter. These alterations have been carried out by the professional seamstress that the wedding dress shop use/recommend. I still have some of the spare lace and applique which I am happy to include with the dress, in case further alterations are required.
