The Dress

Beautiful, titanium Willowby Galatea gown. Worn for 6 hours during my May 2019 wedding.

It is label size 00, but I typically wear a size 0-2 in street clothes. Love the unique dove grey titanium colouring, and the light, airiness of the gown. I was worried this gown would be too casual for our wedding, but I made it work with the accessories! Putting my hair up with a cathedral veil really helped to elevate the dress for a ceremony. I let my hair down for the reception which brought out the more bohemian vibes of the gown. Truly the most adaptable dress out there. So much fun to wear, especially if you can't choose the style you want!

From designer: "Oversized Dalia-inspired floral motifs cover Galatea's exquisite A-line silhouette. Two rows of Velvet Ribbon wrap around the bodice to secure the waist with a delicate bow in the back."

Alterations

It is label size 00, but I typically wear a size 0-2 in street clothes - this brand is 100% true to standard US sizing. I am 5'4", 115 lbs, and a petite pear shape. My measurements are 33" (32 B bra), 25", 37.5". The hip measurements didn't matter in this dress, it is very forgiving -so if you have larger hips/legs like me, definitely size down!

These were my alterations:

1. I had the straps taken up about one inch to fit my true waist (can be let out again)
2. Dress was hemmed to 5'7" (I am 5'4" and wore 3" heels).
3. Loosened the waist to 25.5". This allowed me to breathe easier when seated lol.
4. A standard bustle which I was pleasantly surprised with as I hate most bustles). This can be seen in the back view photo
5. B-size cups sewn into the bodice - gave the breasts a bit of oomph and structure given that I wasn't wearing a bra, but these can be easily removed.
